Vanguard expands in Indonesia

Non-vessel-operating common carrier Vanguard Logistics Services has opened a fourth office in Indonesia at Belawan.

   Non-vessel-operating common carrier Vanguard Logistics Services has opened a fourth office in Indonesia at Belawan.
   Belawan is located in Sumatra. In addition to Jakarta, the NVO recently established offices in the Indonesian cities of Surabaya and Semarang.
   The port of Belawan is the main seaport in Medan, located 12 miles north of Medan City. Belawan International Container Terminal (BICT) is now one of the largest ports in Indonesia.
   “Continuing to expand our global footprint is a key pillar of our strategy,” said Jeffery G. Lee, managing director for South Asia and the Middle East for Vanguard, in a statement. “Indonesia is an important and growing market for us.”
