Wilmerding, Penn.-based Wabtec Corporation’s most recent acquisition was its purchase of Workhorse Rail, which has annual sales of about $35 million.
Wabtec Corporation, a global provider of equipment, systems and value-added services for transit and freight rail, said last week it has acquired Workhorse Rail, LLC.
Workhorse Rail is a supplier of engineered freight car components, mainly for the aftermarket, and has annual sales of about $35 million.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Wabtec has made various acquisitions throughout the year. Earlier this month, the company announced its acquisition of a majority ownership of Faiveley Transport S.A., a global provider of value-added, integrated systems and services for the railway industry.
Back in August, Wabtec announced its purchase of Gerken Group, a manufacturer of carbon and graphite products for rail and other industrial applications, and in May, the company completed the acquisitions of Unitrac Railroad Materials and Pride Bodies, which provide a variety of track-related products and services.
