Wan Hai, Evergreen, Hapag-Lloyd to start China/India loop
Wan Hai Lines, Evergreen and Hapag-Lloyd will at the end of this month start a weekly service linking India with Hong Kong, Shekou and Kaohsiung.
The China India Express (CIX) service will use four ships of about 1,200 TEUs, with two coming from Wan Hai and one each from the two other carriers. The Wan Hai-operated “Bermudian Express” will start the CIX service when it calls Kaohsiung April 30.
The port rotation will be: Kaohsiung, Hong Kong, Shekou, Singapore, Port Kelang, Colombo, Nhava Sheva, Port Kelang, Singapore and Kaohsiung.
CMA CGM last week said that it will start July an independent service in the same trade.
