Warehouses planned around Stewart Airport
Matrix Development Group plans to build a 650,000-square-foot warehouse in Wallkill, N.Y. near Stewart International Airport.
The Times Herald Record newspaper reports the Cranbury, N.J.-based developer has acquired two adjacent parcels totaling about 70 acres for $2.9 million for the project, according to property records. The parcel is near the intersection of Interstates 84 and 87.
The warehouse project is one of several in the vicinity of Stewart, totaling about 3 million square feet, that have been announced since the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey took over the airport last year.
