Weber signs three-year deal with Buxton

Santa Fe Springs, Calif.-based logistics firm Weber Distribution said Tuesday it has signed a three-year warehouse and distribution contract with leather goods maker Buxton.

Weber will provide third-party logistics services to Buxton, including storage, distribution, order processing, label generation, inventory control and routing guide compliance, order fulfillment, and pick and pack. Financial details of the deal were not released.

Springfield, Mass.-based Buxton produces wallets, travel kits, belts, business accessories, computer cases, totes and other personal accessories that are manufactured in China and stored and distributed at two of Weber's Southern California-based warehouses.

Buxton had relied on an East Coast-based, pick-and-pack distribution setup, but decided to shift to a West Coast-based system with Weber. The firm maintains about 4,600 unique SKUs and ships about 1,250 orders, roughly 87,500 units, through Weber facilities.
