WEBMODAL NAMES COO, VP OF STRATEGIC BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Webmodal Inc., the e-commerce company specializing in domestic intermodal transportation, has named Daniel W. Burke as chief operating officer and Michael J. Arendes as vice president of strategic business development.
Burke will oversee operations, customer service, carrier relations, pricing and scheduling.
He was assistant vice president of customer service for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway in Fort Worth, Texas.
Arendes role is “to help us identify, define and build business development opportunities within a number of transportation service provider business segments,” said Chris Kravas, chief executive officer of Webmodal.
Arendes was director of marketing for Hub Group Inc. Prior to Hub, he served as interim managing director for the Intermodal Association of North America and also worked for the American Trucking Association.
Burke and Arendes will report directly to Kravas.
