Weyerhaeuser names CEO, CIO
The Weyerhaeuser Co. has made three major corporate appointments in the past week.
On April 17 the Federal Way, Wash.-based forest products giant, named Daniel Fulton president and chief executive officer. Futon, who has served as president since Jan. 1, assumes the role of CEO from Steven Rogel, who will remain as chairman in a non-executive capacity.
Fulton joined Weyerhaeuser in 1975 and was president and CEO at several subsidiary entities, including Weyerhaeuser Real Estate Co. since 2001. He also joins the Weyerhaeuser board.
Kevin Shearer has been named vice president of information technology and chief information officer, effective May 1.
Shearer, who joined Weyerhaeuser in 1980, has served as the firm's vice president of IT business operations since 2007.
