Whirlpool selects Kenco to run DC
Kenco Logistics Services said it has been selected to manage Whirlpool’s new 1.6 million-square-foot distribution center in Columbus, Ohio.
Kenco will take over coordinating the transition from Whirlpool’s existing facility on Sept. 1 to the new warehouse, which is scheduled to open one month later.
The Chattanooga, Tenn.-based third-party logistics provider said it plans to retain most of the 180 full-time and 60 part-time employees that work for Whirlpool.
Kenco also manages several other Whirlpool DCs.
