Wileman to lead GE’s rail services unit
Chicago-based GE Equipment Services, a subsidiary of General Electric Co., has appointed Jay Wileman as president and chief executive officer of its rail services unit.
Wileman was head of GE’s oil and gas division. He succeeds Ted Torbeck, who has moved to the company’s corporate unit to lead cost and growth initiatives.
In his new role, Wileman will be responsible for the growth of the business through the development of new service and global expansion while managing and growing its railcar and intermodal fleets, GE said.
