WILLY LIN NAMED CHAIRMAN OF HK SHIPPERS’ COUNCIL
The Hong Kong Shippers’ Council has elected Willy Lin as
its chairman, replacing Chan Wing Kee.
The Asian council has also named Jeffrey Lam as vice chairman.
Lin is also chairman of the Hong Kong Knitwear Exporters and
Manufacturers Association.
Lam is concurrently chairman of the Hong Kong Exporters’ Association.
Lam said that the terminal handling charge issue "has been hanging
around for many years now and we must find a better way to go forward."
The Hong Kong Shippers’ Council isn’t satisfied with the one-year freeze
period offered by shipping lines in Hong Kong.
