The world’s largest air cargo handler, Worldwide Flight Services, will acquire Consolidated Aviation Services.
Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), the world’s largest air cargo handler, will acquire Consolidated Aviation Services (CAS), a leading cargo handler in the United States that serves more than 250 airline customers.
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed and the deal is still subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions, WFS said.
In November 2015, WFS also acquired a 51 percent share in Fraport AG’s subsidairy Fraport Cargo Services GmbH (FCS), which is the largest airline-independent cargo handling provider at Frankfurt Airport in Germany. Fraport retained a 49 percent share in FCS.
Global investment firm Platinum Equity acquired WFS from LBO France in September 2015.
WFS, which serves more than 300 airlines globally and handles over four million tons of cargo a year, has a presence at over 145 major airports in more than 22 countries.
