Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics opened a new processing facility in San José Chiapa, Mexico at Audi’s new assembly plant, which is expected to become the worldwide sourcing point of the German car manufacturer’s Q5.
Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) opened a new processing facility at Audi’s new assembly plant in San José Chiapa, Mexico.
The German automobile manufacturer’s new assembly plant is expected to produce 160,000 vehicles a year, becoming the worldwide sourcing point for its Q5 model.
WWL said it will perform yard management and railcar shunting, employing about 80 people in San José Chiapa.
“With the addition of this site, WWL Mexico is close to 1,400 employees working at nine facilities across the country,” said Roberto Zavala, Country Manager for WWL Mexico.
