ZEABORN takes over business operations of Rickmers-Linie

Deal also includes NPC Projects and MCC Marine Consulting & Contracting, which is active as a bunker and chartering broker.

ZEABORN Group, an integrated shipping company operating globally in the maritime multi-purpose segment, said it has taken over the business operations and the international organization of the project cargo shipping company Rickmers-Linie, including NPC Projects.
In addition to the business of Rickmers-Linie, ZEABORN has also taken over the business operations of MCC Marine Consulting & Contracting, which is active as a bunker and chartering broker.
A contract was signed between the two companies earlier this week, but execution of the transaction is subject to antitrust clearance.
Rickmers-Linie has a core fleet of 11 ships, and charters in additional ships as needed.
In 2003, Rickmers-Linie started its “Round-The-World Pearl String Service.” Ships in the service follow a fixed itinerary serving 16 ports around the globe on an eastbound route with departures every 14 days. The ports include Hamburg, Antwerp, Genoa, Singapore, Shanghai, Masan, Yokohama and Houston. Further port calls along the main route may be added in case of sufficient demand.
The company says the service makes just-in-time deliveries possible, even in project cargo and heavylift operations.
