Zeamarine gets clearance to launch operations

A joint venture between three longtime project and heavy-lift cargo vessel operators has received the governmental approvals to get under way.

   A joint venture between longtime project and heavy-lift cargo vessel operators has received the governmental approvals to begin operations.
   The company, called Zeamarine, consists of Intermarine, Zeaborn and Rickmers-Line and currently encompasses more than 85 ships. Zeamarine plans to build its fleet to more than 100 ships by year’s end.
   Zeamarines senior management includes Ulrich Ulrichs and Nicki Schumacher of Zeaborn, and Andre Grikitis, Frank Fischer and Michael Dumas from Intermarine. Global offices and staff of the companies will also be combined.
