The new feeder loop between the Caribbean and the North Atlantic Coast of South America will connect to the Israeli ocean carrier’s global service network through ZIM’s hub in Kingston, Jamaica.
Israeli ocean carrier ZIM will launch a new service to Guyana and Suriname this week, according to a statement from the company.
ZIM said the new loop is aimed at enhancing the carrier’s extensive Intra-America network and will connect to ZIM’s global service network via its hub in Kingston.
The Guyana and Suriname Express Service will operate with a weekly fixed-day schedule beginning March 2. The rotation and days of call are as follows: Kingston (Wed), Georgetown (Mon-Tue), Paramaribo (Thu-Fri), and back to Kingston.
The service will operate using two 1,100-TEU vessels.
