Zim has agreed to sell its holdings in two companies that own container factories in China.
Israel Corp., Zim’s parent, said the stake in the two companies would be sold for $50.5 million and that the expected capital gain from the sale would be $31.5 million.
Zim did not detail what it was selling, but the website SinoShip News reported that Zim is selling its 55-percent stake in CXIC Star Container, as well as a 25-percent stake in a CXIC factory.
Israel Corp. cautioned that “detailed agreements regarding the sale of the shares of the containers companies are yet to be signed, and the agreement is subject to conditions precedent.” – Chris Dupin
