ZIM STARTS LOGISTICS BUSINESS IN CHINA
Zim Logistics (China) Co. Ltd., a subsidiary company of Israel’s Zim Israel Navigation Co., is opening its first owned branch in China.
The first branch is being established in Shanghai, and the third-party logistics company plans to open another four branches in China within a year.
“Zim has joined a small group of major shipping companies in China with owned logistics activities,” the shipping line said. Zim said that the establishment of the Zim Logistics (China) is “an important milestone” for Zim’s operation in China.
Zim Logistics (China) will provide forwarding services, customs declarations, trucking and inland transportation, inland distribution, non-vessel-operating common carrier services, airfreight services, consolidation services, project and warehouse management.
