ZIM’s ZMP will deploy 15, 4,500-TEU ships, while the IMX will operate with five, 2,700-TEU ships.
Israeli ocean carrier ZIM unveiled two new services, both of which are scheduled to launch in April.
The ZIM Med Pacific (ZMP) will serve trade between Asia and the Pacific Northwest, and Asia and the East Med/Black Sea, operating with 15, 4,500-TEU ships, ZIM said. The service will have a rotation of Port Kelang, Cai Mep, Da Chan Bay, Yantian, Xiamen, Ningbo, Shanghai, Pusan, Vancouver, Pusan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Da Chan Bay, Port Kelang, Ashdod, Haifa, Istanbul, Novorossiysk, Odessa, Istanbul, Haifa and Port Kelang. A ZIM spokesperson told American Shipper that ZIM will operate all 15 vessels on the ZMP.
Meanwhile, the India Med Express (IMX) will have a rotation of Mundra, Hazira, Nava Sheva, Colombo, Alexandria, Haifa, Mersin, Istanbul and Mundra, ZIM said. The spokesperson said the IMX will deploy five, 2,700-TEU vessels, all of which will be operated by ZIM.
