DOT: U.S., INTERNATIONAL AIR CARGO GROWTH CONTINUES

EXEL WINS CONTRACTS FROM LEVI STRAUSS, J. GARCIA CARRION

   Air cargo continued to grow last year both in domestic and international freight revenue ton-miles, according to figures released by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics.

   Domestic traffic was up 9 percent, to 7.94 billion freight revenue-ton miles in 2000.

   International traffic was up 9.7 percent in 2000, to 13.20 billion revenue-ton miles.
