PWC Logistics completes GeoLogistics Corp. acquisition
PWC Logistics said Wednesday it has completed its previously announced acquisition of GeoLogistics Corp., a global freight forwarder and logistics services provider.
Effective immediately, GeoLogistics, whose U.S. headquarters are in Santa Ana, Calif., becomes a subsidiary of PWC Logistics, based in Kuwait, and will continue to operate under its existing name. Senior management will remain in place.
The combined group has generated revenues in excess of $3 billion and has more than 10,000 employees spread across more than 100 countries worldwide.
GeoLogistics is the third acquisition completed by PWC Logistics in 2005. In February, it acquired Singapore-based Trans-Link Group, a specialist in event and exhibition logistics, and in April it acquired U.S.-based Transoceanic Shipping, a global provider of project logistics solutions to the energy, engineering and construction industries.
