FEDEX FREIGHT APPOINTS THREE EXECUTIVES
FedEx Freight has added three new positions to its Memphis-based senior management staff in order to focus on the growing regional less-than-truckload market and coordinate sister trucking companies American Freightways and Viking Freight.
Dennie C. Carey, has been named vice president of marketing. He spent 10 years with American Freightways, most recently as executive vice president of marketing. He spent 20 years in various industry sales and operations positions prior to joining AF.
Edward C. Alderman has been named director of international development. He was vice president of international/offshore sales development for AF. Prior to his four years with the company, he spent 10 years at Viking in senior sales positions for international and offshore markets.
Robert H. Rhea will take on the role of vice president and general. Formerly with the Memphis law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman & Caldwell, Rhea has spent seven years with FedEx Corp. and FedEx Express, where he held senior attorney and managing director positions in contract and business transactions and legal technology transactions.
