Walkord appointed CIO of Circumference America
Circumference America has appointed Robert Walkord to chief information officer.
Walkord is the Jacksonville, Fla.-based domestic freight transportation services company’s first full-time IT employee, overseeing all technical functions.
Before joining Circumference, Walkord worked nine years at NYK Logistics America in the company’s IT department. He started his career in transportation with former Vexure (then known as Stonier Transportation Group) first as a freight scheduler and later as a shipment tracker for general commodities.
Circumference provides non-asset-based transportation, such as truckload, less-than-truckload, expedited, intermodal air and ocean. The company does this through an integrated combination of operating companies, including Radius Rail, Vertex Transport, and as agents for Sunteck Transport Group.
