EU shipowners name Simonsson president
The European Community Shipowners’ Association (ECSA), which represents the shipping industry of European Union countries and Norway, has appointed Lennart Simonsson president for a two-year period, succeeding Graeme Dunlop.
Simonsson is managing director of the Swedish Brostr'm group. Previously, he has been vice president of ECSA and president of the Swedish Shipowners’ Association and the Swedish Shipowners Employers’ Association. Simonsson is a member of the Swedish Club.
At its general assembly held in Edinburgh June 17, ECSA also named Philippe Louis-Dreyfus vice president/president elect for a period of two years. Louis-Dreyfus is president of Louis-Dreyfus Armateurs.
