Verdery to study immigration issues for CSIS
Former Department of Homeland Security official Stewart Verdery has been named an adjunct fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. Verdery, who resigned in early March as assistant secretary for border and transportation security policy and planning, will continue as a consultant at the lobbying firm of Mehlman Vogel Castagnetti.
Verdery will help the think tank develop recommendations on border and transportation security issues with an emphasis on visa and immigration policy, CSIS announced.
