GRAND ALLIANCE ALTER PORT DAYS ON CKX PACIFIC SERVICE
Shipping lines of the Grand Alliance are altering the
days of arrival and departure on the fixed-day weekly, transpacific "CKX"
service.
The service will now arrive Los Angeles on Wednesday instead of Sunday and
leave Los Angeles on Friday instead of Tuesday. The changes will commence when
"P&O Nedlloyd Jakarta" sails from Los Angeles on Dec. 31.
The service is operated by five P&O Nedlloyd vessels with an average
2,890 TEU capacity. The other carriers in the Grand Alliance are Hapag-Lloyd, NYK and
OOCL.
The rotation of the CKX service has not been changed. The full rotation is
Los Angeles, Seattle, Busan, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Qingdao, Busan, and back to Los Angeles
and Seattle.
