GATX RAIL BUYS REMAINING STAKE IN KVG KESSELWAGEN
GATX Rail, a Chicago-based division of GATX Financial Corp. said Wednesday it has acquired the remaining interest in the companies comprising KVG Kesselwagen, a European railcar lessor.
GATX Rail has held a minority interest in KVG since 1997. Terms of the transaction, which now gives GATX total ownership, were not disclosed.
“I am extremely pleased that Rainer Baumgarten and Gernot Schwayer, the founders of KVG, will be staying and continuing to lead this operation,” said D. Ward Fuller, president of GATX Rail Europe.
