MAERSK, MED SHIPPING TO COMBINE ASIA/EAST AUSTRALIA SERVICES
Maersk Line and Mediterranean Shipping Co. will combine two Asia/East
Australia services into one, the lines said Wednesday.
The six-vessel service will call Yokohama, Osaka, Busan, Nagoya, Hong Kong,
Kaoshiung, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Yokohama again.
The carriers said the consolidation, which reduces capacity by about 20
percent, is in response to market demands.
