AirBridge Cargo starts Amsterdam/Moscow service
AirBridge Cargo (ABC), Russia’s first scheduled all-cargo airline, has started a three-flights-per-week service from Amsterdam to Moscow to cash in on Russia’s $1 billion import market for fresh flowers.
The service uses three Boeing 747 freighter from Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport directly to Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport.
The airline said about 60-80 percent of flowers imported into Russia are from the Netherlands.
ABC was launched by the Volga-Dnepr Group in May 2004.
