WALLENIUS WILHELMSEN APPOINTS SOUTH AMERICAN AGENTS
Wallenius Wilhelmsen, the 50-50 joint company of Wallenius Lines and Wilhelmsen Lines, has appointed four general agents to represent their interests in South America, effective Sept. 1.
Agencia de Vapores Grieg will represent the carrier in Brazil; Agencia Maritima Robinson in Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay; A.J. Broom & Cia. in Chile, Peru and Ecuador; and Naves in Colombia.
In Venezuela, Wallenius Wilhelmsen has an existing agent relationship with Paragua Maritima C.A.
In October, Wallenius Wilhelmsen and NYK Line will discontinue their joint marketing agreement for service between North and South America. The two lines will still cooperate in the operations management of the service, but will market the service separately under their respective brand names. The scope and frequency of the service will remain unchanged.
