NYK Logistics gets go-ahead for South African subsidiary
The South African government has given formal approval to NYK Logistics and BLG Lead Logistics to establish the joint venture company NYK Logistics & BLL (NBL).
The new Port Elizabeth-based company is NYK’s first owned logistics representation in Africa. Through the joint venture, NYK said it will provide logistics services for the delivery of auto parts to Ford Motor’s plant in South Africa as well as for the export of auto parts from suppliers in South Africa to Ford’s plants in other countries.
