Environmental review for Vancouver Port Authority expansion project
The British Columbia environmental assessment office has accepted for formal review the Vancouver Port Authority’s Deltaport Third Berth project application.
The project is the first phase of the authority’s expansion plans for the container handling facilities at Roberts Bank in Delta, B.C. and requires an environmental assessment certificate under the British Columbia environmental assessment act. The project is also subject to review under the Canadian environmental assessment act.
The British Columbia environmental assessment office is inviting comments on the project application during a formal public comment period that runs from Feb. 24 to April 25.
The application and supporting documents are available to view at www.portvancouver.com/container_expansion/deltaport.
