Air China launches specialty cargo division
Air China said it has formed a separate cargo subsidiary, Air China Cargo Airlines, along with Beijing Capital International Airport Group and another investor to serve the Chinese domestic market, Commercial Aviation Today reported.
The joint venture claims it is the largest cargo airline in the country with registered capital of $266 million and total investment capital of $427 million.
Air China Cargo operates five Boeing 747 freighters in addition to managing cargo capacity on its fleet of 115 passenger aircraft.
