Pacer International announces rebranding
Concord, Calif.-based logistics provider Pacer International on Tuesday announced a rebranding initiative that aims to more effectively communicate the firm's service capabilities and unified approach to the marketplace.
The effort unifies Pacer’s numerous services and operations under a single master brand. A new logo design, incorporating themes of the firm's previous logos, was also unveiled.
Pacer is also adopting a new tag line, 'Making Your World Run Smoother.' Pacer officials said the new tag line 'speaks to (Pacer's) commitment to deliver on its promises to customers and its history of innovation in the intermodal industry.'
Pacer, a product of more than 10 transportation and logistics company acquisitions, said it has been making investments and improvements over the last year that have resulted in the expansion of both its intermodal services network and its truck brokerage services. The firm is also expanding its in-house drayage operations to support its expanded intermodal network and door-to-door product offerings.
The company is undergoing a firm-wide phased implementation of a single information technology system provided by SAP, which Pacer said will simplify business processes across organizational functions and improve responsiveness to customer needs.
