FMT acquires Ceres general cargo operations in port of Cleveland
Federal Marine Terminals Inc., a subsidiary of the Canadian shipowner Fednav Ltd., Friday signed an agreement to acquire the general cargo stevedoring operations in the port of Cleveland, Ohio, of Ceres Terminals Inc., a subsidiary of the Japanese shipping group Nippon Yusen Kaisha. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
“Effective immediately, Federal Marine Terminals will become the general cargo stevedore at the port of Cleveland,” Ceres said in a statement.
Federal Marine Terminals has 45 years of experience in the Great Lakes, and provides specialized, bulk and general cargo stevedoring.
