A.P. Moller adds new large containership
A.P. Moller, the parent company of Maersk Sealand and of Odense Steel Shipyard, has named another post-Panamax containership, the “Arnold Maersk.”
The ship is registered in Denmark and was built by the Odense shipyard.
The “Arnold Maersk” is a sistership to the “Axel Maersk” and “Anna Maersk,” both built earlier this year. It belongs to A.P. Moller’s “S-class” series of large containerships, which have a stated capacity of 6,600 TEUs.
After delivery, the “Arnold Maersk” will enter Maersk Sealand’s worldwide liner service.
