SCHENKER ACQUIRES CCW GROUP
Stinnes subsidiary Schenker Inc. said it has expanded its logistics capabilities in the United States by acquired The CCW Group Inc., Greensboro, N.C.-based logistics provider. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
With the addition, Schenker now provides more than 50 U.S. locations.
CCW, founded in 1948, has provided logistics services for core industries including health and beauty, consumer, textiles, chemicals and furniture.
Schenker's areas of logistics focus have included automotive, high-tech, machinery, aero parts systems, marine parts services and consumer-retail industries, said Patrick Moebel, president and chief executive officer of Schenker Inc.
