IANA selects Watson to head communications department
The Intermodal Association of North America has appointed Rip Watson to the newly created position of director of communications and public relations.
Watson reported on freight transportation for Bloomberg News for nearly seven years. His career also includes nearly five years working for CSX Corp.’s corporate communications department.
At IANA, Watson will have responsibility for the editing and writing of publications and news releases, as well as media relations and serving as chief spokesman for the trade association’s more than 700 members.
