Xiamen terminal adds two quay cranes

   Xiamen International Container Terminals has ordered two “super post-Panamax” ship-to-shore quay cranes. The order will bring Xiamen’s total quay cranes to eight.

   Each new crane has a 56-meter, 21-container-rows-wide outreach, a 45-ton lifting capacity and a lifting height of 38 meters, capable of accommodating the latest generation of 8,000-plus TEU container vessels.

   Xiamen International Container Terminals, located in Fujian province, southern China, is a joint venture between Hutchison Delta Ports and Xiamen Haicang Port Co. It is situated at Haicang in the Xiamen Special Economic Zone.
