Neptune Orient Lines revises its board of directors
Singapore-based Neptune Orient Lines, the parent company of APL Liner and APL Logistics, has revised its board of directors.
Robert Holland, Jr., a New York-based business consultant and corporate director, will be appointed as a member of the board on Jan. 1. Holland is a former president and chief executive officer of ice cream maker Ben & Jerry’s, and has more recently served as chairman and CEO of WorkPlace Integrators, a steelcase office furniture dealership in the United States.
Robert Chua and former Philips logistics executive Dirk Goedhart left Neptune Orient Lines’ board of directors on Dec. 31.
Gan Chee Yen, who was appointed to the company’s board on Oct. 1, will be appointed as a member of Neptune Orient Lines’ audit and nominating committees, effective Jan. 1. As a senior executive of the company’s substantial shareholder, government-owned Temasek Holdings (Private) Limited, Gan is considered as a non-independent director.
