IPBCC LINES RAISE RATES, EFFECTIVE MARCH 1
The India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ceylon conferences (IPBCC Lines) have announced an eastbound rate increase for cargo coming from the United Kingdom, the North Continent, Scandinavian and West Mediterranean ports to India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
The rate increase, effective March 1, 2003, will be U.S. $150 per 20-foot container and U.S. $200 per 40-foot container.
Carriers participating in IPBCC include Bangladesh Shipping Corp.; Ceylon Shipping Corp.,CMA-CGM SA, Contship Containerlines [part of CP Ships (UK) Ltd.], Evergreen Marine Corp., Ellerman, Hapag Lloyd Container Linie GMBH, “K” Line, Malaysia International Shipping Corp., Maersk Sealand, Norasia Container Lines Limited, Pakistan National Shipping Corp., P&O Nedlloyd Ltd.; Rickmers-Linie, Safmarine, Shipping Corporation of India, Ltd., United Arab Shipping Co., Yang Ming Line, and Zim Israel Navigation Company Ltd.
