SK SHIPPING OF KOREA JOINS INTERCARGO
SK Shipping, one of Korea's leading shipping company, has joined the International Association of Dry Cargo Shipowners (Intercargo), expanding the association's list of Asian members.
The carrier is the first Korean company to join the association, which represents the interest of owners, operators and managers of dry cargo shipowners. The Korean Registry of Shipping is an Intercargo member
While Asian shipowner members comprise 31 percent of the total number of members in Intercargo, they represent 65 percent of the vessels owned by members of the association.
The association, which has 70 members and 54 associate members, works closely with the International Chamber of Shipping, BIMCO and Intertanko.
