K + N names North America president

Swiss-based freight forwarding giant Kuehne + Nagel has appointed Bob Mihok president of its North American region.

   Swiss-based freight forwarding giant Kuehne + Nagel has appointed Bob Mihok president of its North American region.
   He succeeds John Hextall, who requested to step down but will remain with the company through June 30 to help with the transition.
   Based in Jersey City, N.J., Mihok will oversee K + N’s ocean and air cargo, overland, and logistics services operations across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
   “With his comprehensive experience in end-to-end supply chain solutions and his global perspective, Bob Mihok will leverage our investments made in 2015 and substantially improve our market position,” said Detlef Trefzger, chief executive officer for Kuehne + Nagel International AG, in a statement.
   Mihok started his career at K + N in 1982. He climbed the management ranks and held various roles in the United States, Europe and Asia. Since April 2008, he led the company’s Eastern Europe operations.
