Maersk Sealand replaces transatlantic tonnage
Maersk Sealand next week will start its weekly transatlantic TA3 service, replacing the former TA3/Andean service, which recently stopped calling at ports in the United States to become a dedicated Europe/West Coast South America loop.
The vessel “Sea-Land Express” is scheduled to start the new service when it departs from Felixstowe Nov. 15.
The TA3 service will use four ships averaging 2,740 TEUs and will call: New York, Charleston, Miami, Felixstowe, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam and back to New York.
