Executive moves: MOL, DCLI and Port of New Orleans

MOL selects new chairman and president, while DCLI appoints chief marketing officer and the Port of New Orleans names board leaders.

Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. has appointed Koichi Muto, currently the Japanese liner carrier’s president, as chairman. Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer Junichiro Ikeda will become president. The appointments are subject to approval at MOL’s board meeting following the annual general meeting of shareholders, which will be held June 23, the carrier said.

Direct ChassisLink, Inc. (DCLI) has appointed Jeremy Haycock to senior vice president and chief marketing officer, effective April 15. Prior to joining DCLI, he was chief executive officer and president of Damco North America.

The Port of New Orleans has elected Scott H. Cooper as chairman. Gov. Bobby Jindal appointed Cooper to the board in December 2011. He succeeds Gregory R. Rusovich, whose term as chairman expired this month. Rusovich will continue to serve as a commissioner. In addition, William T. Bergeron was elected to vice chairman and Michael W. Kearney to secretary-treasurer. The port’s board is made up of seven commissioners. They are unsalaried and serve five-year staggered terms.
