PANALPINA TOPS EUROPEAN AIRFREIGHT RANKING
Panalpina ranks as the largest airfreight forwarder in Europe,
measured by sales revenue, the company said.
A ranking of the International Air Transport Association based on 1998
statistics of the industry’s Cass payment system shows that Panalpina held its position as
the largest forwarder in Europe.
Panalpina had European sales of $338 million through Cass last year,
representing a 6-percent share of the market. European sales through Cass for all
operators totalled $5.6 billion in 1998.
