AIR FRANCE CARGO BEGINS LIVE TRANSACTIONS VIA GF-X
Air France Cargo said Thursday it has started live transactions through Global Freight Exchange (GF-X), a neutral reservations system for forwarders and airlines.
“We made a commitment to GF-X a few months ago because we want to drive the development of e-business in the air cargo industry,' said Marc Boudier, executive vice president of Air France Cargo. 'We believe more forwarders will choose to use the system,”
The carrier will offer its Dimension and Cohesion products, through GF-X, to users among freight forwarders outside of Paris. By March, the range of use will be extended to Germany, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Hong Kong, and by early summer, the United States and Japan.
