The Port of Gdansk’s newest storage facility, which belongs to the Polish cold storage logistics provider PAGO, obtained a certificate of occupancy Jan. 15, the port said.
Commodities that require sub-zero temperatures, including produce, dairy products and fresh meat, will be able to be handled at the new cold storage facility.
The site is located within a few hundred meters from the deepwater container terminal, which allows for the quick and secure transport of frozen goods.
In addition to the new facility, PAGO has similar sites throughout Poland, which are located near Warsaw, Poznan, Katowice and just a few tens of kilometers from Gdansk in Lebork.
