Shell Marine Products adds bunker service at Mobile
Shell Marine Products has started a bunker fuels operation in Mobile, Ala.
The company, a subsidiary of Royal Dutch/Shell Group, has fuel oil storage facilities in the Port of Mobile at Radcliff/Economy Terminal. The company has also secured access to the only double-hull bunker barge in the region to deliver fuel oil.
“With over 1,000 ships calling Mobile harbor each year, the region is an interesting bunkering market,” the company said in a statement. “Recnt market growth announcements have created a long-term opportunity for Shell Marine Products to work with existing and new customers.”
