FKI Logistex opens Mexico City office
FKI Logistex, a provider of integrated material handling technology, has opened a regional office in Mexico City.
FKI Logistex de Mexico S.A. de C.V. will support the company's customers in Mexico, which include Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc Moctezuma, Coca-Cola Femsa, Procter & Gamble, and Colgate-Palmolive.
FKI Logistex has installed 80 palletizing and depalletizing systems in Mexico and 150 such systems throughout Latin America. The company appointed George Reyher, sales manager, Latin America, to head the office.
'There is a trend in Mexico and across Latin America to move end-of-the-line activities to automation,' Reyher said in a statement. 'While this work was previously done primarily by hand, we are seeing more companies taking a more sophisticated approach.'
