Sunland, Artisan Logistics partner

Sunland Logistics Solutions, a South Carolina-based third party logistics services provider, has entered a partnership with Artisan Logistics as their in-house carrier to support Sunland’s customers with transportation services outside its network.
Sunland provides transportation for shuttle and dedicated moves within a 200-mile range of its warehouses throughout the state.
Artisan is an independent Landstar agent based in Columbia, S.C. with access to more than 9,000 drivers, 14,000 pieces of equipment, an extensive rail and air network, as well as Landstar’s non-vessel-operating common carrier authority for international cargo.
Kevin Combs, vice president of business development at Artisan Logistics, will lead a team to set up the transportation services for Sunland, which includes everything from hazmat chemicals to tier-one automotive suppliers.
Sunland remains focused expanding its Southeastern market, it said. The company will open two new facilities totaling more than 400,000 square feet this month and expand foreign trade zone space.
“The supply chain is shortening, but still remains complex,” said Arch Thompson, Sunland’s chief executive officer, in a statement. “This is where Sunland adds value to manufactures and distributors with our expertise, technology, and team performance.”
